
CMU-Q graduates honored with QF Excellence Award
DOHA, QATAR – Two members of the Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) Class of 2025, Lujain Al Mansoori and Abdulbosit Shukhratbekov, have been honored with the prestigious Qatar Foundation Excellence Award. This award, given by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, recognizes exceptional graduating students from Education City universities who have demonstrated academic excellence, a commitment to holistic development, and positive community impact.
Lujain graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems and a minor in Tech Entrepreneurship. Her academic journey has embodied academic excellence, innovation and resilience. Recognized as one of four Qatar Campus Scholars for the Class of 2025, her journey included developing a prototype wearable cooling device for outdoor workers at the European Innovation Academy in Portugal, leading to a startup venture. She also co-founded the QF-wide Entrepreneurial Club.
“My journey at CMU has shaped who I am,” Lujain reflected. “This country has given me so much, and I feel a duty to give back by uplifting others.”
Abdulbosit graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and a minor in economics. Earning University Honors for his consistent academic achievement, he has also passed Level I of the rigorous Certified Financial Analyst exam during his undergraduate studies. Abdulbosit also served as a leader in the CMU-Q Finance Society, honing his communication and leadership skills while helping peers explore finance careers.
“CMU really prepared me well, not just academically, but also through career development support,” he said. “Looking back, coming to CMU-Q was one of the best decisions.”
CMU-Q recognized the 110 members of the Class of 2025 at a graduation ceremony on Monday, May 5. The Qatar Foundation Convocation, held the next day, recognized the entire Education City Class of 2025.
