Cross Register in Education City

Education City students have a unique opportunity to gain depth and breadth by taking courses at the other partner universities. Education City students may cross register at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University in Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, VCUArts Qatar, and Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar.

What is Cross Registration?

If you are an Education City student, we welcome you to cross register for our courses. Cross registration is simple, but does require some planning.

Cross registration is open to full-time students at the sophomore level and higher, and students may cross register for one course per semester.
Students from any university must adhere to the host school’s Academic Calendar, including start date, drop and withdrawal deadlines, and final exam schedules.
The final grade will appear on the home transcript, and will factor into the student’s QPA

Steps to Cross Register

Review the Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar course schedule. Micro courses are also a good option, and the topics change every semester.
After you have selected the course you wish to take, fill out the Education City Cross Registration Form. Fill out the form online – handwritten forms will not be accepted.
Print, sign, and collect all signatures from your home university.
Email the completed cross registration application form with a copy of your passport to [email protected].
