Carnegie Mellon Qatar honors 144 students for academic excellence
CMU-Q celebrates exceptional grades achieved by students in the spring 2024 semester.
Doha, Qatar, 30 September 2024 – Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner university, honored the exceptional academic performance of 144 students in the spring 2024 semester: 26 first-years, 27 sophomores, 53 juniors, and 38 seniors.
The CMU-Q Dean’s List ceremony takes place twice a year to acknowledge academic accomplishments by students in the previous semester.
The dean of CMU-Q, Michael Trick, addressed the students at the ceremony: “This academic honor recognizes the hard work and success of our undergraduates each semester,” he said. “I hope that this ceremony inspires all of our students to recognize their own potential and strive for excellence.”

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar offers undergraduate degree programs in biological sciences, business administration, computer science, and information systems. Applications for the fall 2025 semester are now being accepted.
