DOHA, QATAR – After excelling in the classroom during the spring 2011 term, 60 students at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar have been placed on the Dean’s List.
“I would like to congratulate each of the students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List for their outstanding academic achievements during the spring semester. These students have demonstrated keen intellectual curiosity and an extraordinarily strong work ethic, and we are proud of them and their accomplishments. I am honored to have worked with them,” said G. Richard Tucker, Dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
Only top-ranking students are named to the Dean’s List each semester.
Senior Business Administration students given these honors are: Naif Al Sowaidi, Maryam Alsemaitt, Shazia Haq, Jumana Kahlout, Joel Brian Manalastas, Mridula Mukundan and Yara Saeed. Senior Information System students are: Douaa Dalle and Shashank Jariwala.
Junior Business Administration students are: Sara Abbas, Edmond Abi Saleh, Belal Al Kadhi, Mohammed Al Saad, Amna Al-Mazroei, Issa Al-Sheeb, Abdallah Darwish, Mohammad Dualeh, Marie-Joe Germanos Khachan and Mohamed Hussain. Junior Information System students are: Mohammed Al-Haddad, Rashed Al-Kaabi, Salwa Al-Mannai, Ghanim Al-Sulaiti, Varun Arora, Rana Khalil, Fatima Mujahid, Allan Reeves.
Sophomore Business Administration students are: Layal Al Alami, Ahmad Al-Sarraf, Nahan Arif, Shivani Arora, El Houssain El Marabti, Houssain Hejji, Patrick Steinhagen. Sophomore Computer Science students are: Monoj Dareddy, Anas Halbawi, Mohamed Soudy. Sophomore Information Systems students are: Fatema Akbar, Reham Al Tamime, Marwa Alfakhri, Noora Alsooj, Nur Aysha Anggraini, Humaira Tasnim and Abhay Valiyaveettil.
Freshman Business Administration students are: Rafay Abbasi, Mohammad Alhadrami, Sheikh Aveed, Syed Haider, Mohammed Hammouda, Narjes Sadat Jafarian, Nada Salem, Saba Singh and Haider Zali. Freshman Computer Science students are: Amna Al-Zeyara, Fahim Dalvi, Kenrick Fernandes, Syed Moosavi, Jyda Moussa and Shaileja Relwani. Keghani Kouzoujian, a computer science student who is now a fifth-year scholar in Pittsburgh also earned the distinction.
