Qatar student wins Tepper UBA Case Challenge
Business administration junior Yousuf Akhlaq was part of the winning team, Gamma, at the Tepper UBA Case Challenge in Pittsburgh. Akhlaq, along with fellow Qatar BA students Fazail Ahmad, Tehseen Niaz and Sanjeet Sahni, travelled to the main campus to participate in the event.
For the challenge, competitors were divided into eight teams, of which four included one CMU-Q student. Students were given the task of designing a future policy and strategy for Uber, a case which provided an open-ended and challenging opportunity for creative thinking. In an exceptionally close final round, CMU-Q’s Yousuf Akhlaq and Tehseen Niaz and their respective teams went head to head for the championship.
CMU-Q will host its Internal Case Competition in the spring of 2016, which will include four students from Pittsburgh.
