Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar welcomes the Class of 2022 this week for Freshman Orientation. This year’s theme for orientation, “Make Your Mark,” strives to instill inspiration, aspiration and motivation in each of the new students as they begin their academic journey.

Freshman Orientation is an annual tradition that takes place in the week before classes. New students learn about academic expectations, the library and other learning resources, and the many health, wellness and personal development opportunities that CMU-Q offers. The orientation experience will culminate in Convocation 2018, where the community welcomes the new students at a formal ceremony.

The Class of 2022 is the 15th cohort to enroll at CMU-Q. Nearly 100 students will attend their first classes as freshman students on Sunday in the programs of biological sciences, business administration, computer science and information systems.
