DOHA, QATAR – Dr. Ibrahim B. Ibrahim, Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Development Planning and Economic Advisor to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, has been invited by Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar to deliver a lecture on the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the implementation of the National Development Strategy.
“At Carnegie Mellon, we support as actively and as fully as possible the implementation of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and we are pleased to have Dr. Ibrahim B. Ibrahim, a key advisor in drafting the document, as a special guest speaker to discuss the national development strategy, goals and implementation plan for the coming five years,” said G. Richard Tucker, Dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
He continued: “As a member of Qatar Foundation, we are proud to be a part of such a significant movement to transform the nation into a leading knowledge economy. The programs that we offer at our Education City campus frame our commitment to the Qatar 2030 National Vision, and are aligned with its fundamental pillars of developing people, society, the economy and the environment.”
“Through our academic as well as our community outreach programs our aim is to educate young minds by providing them the tools to develop the critical thinking skills necessary to evaluate problems of regional relevance and develop solutions with worldwide impact,” he added.
