Hollywood Producer and Carnegie Mellon Alumna Paula Wagner Visits CMU Qatar

DOHA, QATAR – Paula Wagner, renowned Hollywood producer and former top talent agent and studio executive, paid a visit to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar to meet with Dean G. Richard Tucker, and was escorted on a VIP tour of the building by a group of students. Following the tour, Wagner attended a reception in her honor with students and faculty. Wagner is in Doha with her husband, Rick Nicita, for the second annual Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

”We are honoured to have such a distinguished alumna as Paula visit our campus and meet with our students,” said Dean Tucker. “Paula is a highly successful business woman in a challenging global industry, and a role model for many of our youth at Carnegie Mellon.”

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s School of Drama, and a member of the university’s Board of Trustees, it was Wagner’s first visit to her alma mater’s campus in Qatar.

Wagner is among the elite of the entertainment industry. She began her career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where she spent 15 years representing some of Hollywood’s greatest talents, including actors, directors and writers. In 1993, she launched Cruise/Wagner Productions (C/W) with her former CAA client Tom Cruise. She was also CEO of United Artists. Her current efforts are as founder of Chestnut Ridge Productions, a film production company that is developing motion picture, theater, television and new media projects.
