Ezzohra Moufid, a lecturer of Arabic studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), took a delegation of CMU-Q students to the 18th Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in Dubai. The students participated in the International Youth Programme, which convened students from more than 20 universities to engage in panel discussions regarding literature, technology, and global social issues. CMU-Q is a Qatar Foundation partner university.
The festival provided a platform for CMU-Q participants to explore the role of Arabic studies within a global context through intercultural dialogue and collaborative workshops. By engaging with international poets, musicians, and academics, the group established connections with peers from across the region, focusing on how the arts can bridge cultural divides and support intellectual exploration.
The participating students were Aya Abdelhamid, Rashid Al-Adbah, Hamad Al-Hajri, Rashid Al-Kubaisi, Saad Al-Qahtani, and Aya Elgosrani.
