Business Innovation Challenge

Are you creative, analytical, and forward-thinking? Dive into a real-world business challenge at the CMU-Q Business Innovation Challenge, a competition for high school students from across Qatar. You will take on the role of a business consultant to tackle a real-world challenge that was inspired by companies in Qatar. 

Business Innovation Challenge 2026 will take place on October 29 (counselors and teachers only), and November 13 and 14.

About Business Innovation Challenge

What

CMU-Q Business Administration faculty have prepared a business case for students to analyze and develop practical, actionable recommendations for marketing, finance, and operations. Teams will create a one-page investor-style pitch and present it to a panel of judges.

Who

The Business Innovation Challenge is looking for ambitious high school students who want to test their creativity and analytical skills with real-world challenges. Student teams will be nominated by teachers or counselors. Two teams per school can be put forward.

When

On October 29, counselors and teachers will be invited to an information session to learn more about the competition.

The student competition will take place over two days on November 13 and 14.

Where

The competition will take place at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in Education City.
