Dean’s List Fall 2008

DOHA, QATAR – After excelling in the classroom during the Fall 2008 term, 54 students at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar have earned the academic distinction of being placed on the Dean’s List.

Only top-ranking students are named to The Dean’s List each semester. The qualifications for the Dean’s List are the same in Doha as they are on Carnegie Mellon’s home campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Senior Business Administration students are: Anas Abu Qamar, Sara Al-Asmakh, Maha Al-Hanzab, Noor Al-Jassim, Omar Allouba, Fatima Al-Rumaihi, Rana El Sakhawy, Hicham Nedjari and Karim Watfa. Senior Computer Science students are: Hend Gedawy.

Junior Business Administration students are: Fatima Al Fakhri, Laith Al Gaz, Buthayna Al Madhadi, Saad Al-Matwi, Shuaa Al Nasr, Eatidal Al Qatami, Aisha Al-Sada, Ohoud Alsherawi, Mohammed Arif, Siddharth Arora, Hadi Murtada, Amna Sultan, Eman Tag and Shaereen Vencilao. Junior Computer Science majors are: Shakir Hussain and Aysha Siddique.

Sophomore Business Administration students are: Abdulla Al-Kuwari, Maryam Al-Kuwari, Mai Al-Naemi, Mohammed El Haj Ahmad, Harold Yew Jin Huang, Laila Khan, Hala Khashabi, Joel Brian Manalastas, Urmila Rosario and Yara Saeed. Sophomore Computer Science students are: Raji Al Hammouri, Samreen Anjum and Khaled Ziya Aeen. Sophomore Information Systems majors are: Amna Al-Hitmi.

Freshman Business Administration students are: Sara Abbas, Edmond Abi Saleh, Amna Al-Mazroei, Abdallah Darwish, Marie-Joe Khachan, Layal Hasan, Mohamed Hussain, Mohammed Kamal, Batoul Khalife and Mridula Mukundan. Freshman Computer Science majors are: Turki Jamaan, Swapnil Joshi and Ossama Obeid. Freshman Information Systems majors are: Dania Abed Rabbou.

Students in Qatar follow the same curriculum, are taught to the identical standards and adhere to the exact performance requirements as students at university’s home campus Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
