DOHA, QATAR: Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) welcomed more than 80 newly admitted students and their parents at the Marhaba Tartans event on April 18. The evening is an opportunity for incoming students to meet their professors and future classmates, and learn more about studying at CMU-Q.

Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, welcomed the Class of 2023 and reminded each of them that they have earned a place at the university. “When we selected you, we looked at your academic accomplishments, your extracurricular interests, and your plans for the future. We chose you because you want to learn, and you are curious and forward-thinking. We have every confidence that you will be excellent Tartans,” he said.
