Outstanding achievers named for the fall 2013 term
DOHA, QATAR – 135 students demonstrating academic excellence have been given recognition on the fall 2013 Dean’s List at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
“I congratulate our students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List for their exemplary performance during fall semester. These students have distinguished themselves through their academic excellence and strong work ethic. We are proud of them and their achievements,” said Ilker Baybars, dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
There were 43 seniors, 28 juniors, 29 sophomores and 35 freshmen who made the list. Students were recognized across Carnegie Mellon Qatar’s majors in biological sciences, business administration, computer science and information systems.
Senior business administration students given this recognition are: Rafay Abbasi, Adan Adonis, Abaan Ahmad, Aysha Al-Abdulla, Dana Al-Ansari, Reem Al-Emadi, Shaikha Al-Emadi, Mohammed Al-Hadhrami, Sultan Al-Jabir, Haya Al-Kubaisi, Sara Al-Sulaiti, Aisha Al-Thani, Almaha Al-Thani, Mohammed Al Thani, Maha Al-Zaini, Khalid Allouba, Noor Daqaq, Lulwa El-Matbouly, Syed Haider, Syed Saiful Mujahid, Zeina Murtada, Hamza Nagree, Nada Salem, Rama Sbei, Reham Shaikh, Aveed Sheikh, Singh Saba and Haider Zali. Senior information systems students: Hawra Abdulla, Stephanie Abi Gerges, Haris Aghadi, Noora Al-Maslamani, Sara Al-Mulla, Safouan Amor, Srinjoy Chakravarty, Daniel Cheweiky, Zuhair Ghalib, Aliya Hashim, Muhammad Polin, Talal Shoeb and Haya Thowfeek. Senior Rula Al-Baghdadi made the list for biological sciences and senior Fahim Dalvi made the list for computer science.
Junior business administration students are: Abdulrahman Abdulla, Amira Abu-Saba, Noor-Ul-Huda Admaney, Sarah Al-Emadi, Syeda Sarah Ali, Lana Al-Kahala, Sara Al-Khalifa, Salma Al-Sulaiti, Saad Asim, Salma Al-Sulaiti, Saad Asim, Vanessa Fernandes, Tanzeel Huda, Chathurika Jayakody, Amalan Roshan, Hassan Salatt, Aniish Sridhar and Muhammad Suhaib. Junior information systems students are: Rawan Al-Marri, Noora Al-Mulla, Ghaya Al-Sulaiti, Nihal Fathima, Flavio Fenley, Ahmed Hashmi, Sama Kanbour and Noshin Nisa. Junior Bilal Jaradat made the list for biological sciences. Junior computer science students are: Sabih Bin Wasi, Nabil Chowdhury and Mohammad Zafar.
Sophomore business administration students given these honors are: Alanood Al-Asiry, Fatima Al-Emadi, Muna Al-Husseiny, Shaikha Al-Kuwari, Hamad Al-Noaimi, Haya Al-Thani, Hessa Al-Thani, Maha Al-Thani, Sana Britto, Mouza Darwish, Mary Valerie Garcia, Narjis Premjee, Bilal Sheikh and Marwa Zouzou. Sophmore information systems students are: Maryan Al-Haddad, Aisha Al-Missned, Dana Al-Muftah, Aisha Al-Sabah, Sharmin Islam and Juan Sam. Sophmore computer science students are: Dilsher Ahmed, Mahmoud Al-Ismail, Hasan Al-Jawaheri, Daun Chung, Aseel Ghazal, Alaa Khader, Zeinab Khalifa, John Naguib and Guru Yerramilli.
Freshman business administration students are: Razan Abunaba, Fazail Ahmad, Muhammad Yousuf Akhlaq, Fatima Al-Emadi, Omar Al-Emadi, Amna Al-Hajri, Wadha Al-Khori, Noor Al-Mana, Dania Al-Qatami, Safa Amor, Fiona Anthony, Faran Farooq, Sampriti Jain, Zanib Khalid, Andreea Nan, Sherif Rizk, Sanjeet Sahni, Awais Shamim, Mounir Sheikh and Sabal Subedi. Freshman information systems students are: Malath Anaya, Maher Khan, Mehak Manwani and Ibrahim Soltan. Freshman computer science students are: Aliaa Ahmed, Posha Dave, Sharjeel Khan, Qasim Nadeem, Musab Popatia, Muhammad Shah, Sannan Tariq, Zihan Zhou. Freshman biological sciences students are: Dana Abou Samhadaneh, Safa Salim and Fathima Zahir.
