Reboot the Earth

Reboot the Earth is a worldwide initiative to find technological solutions that address the climate crisis. In Qatar, participants come to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar for a social coding hackathon to innovate around the theme, Agriculture and AI.

Reboot the Earth is hosted by the United Nations and Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in partnership with the Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Computer Science Education and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Join us to collaborate, create digital public goods, and help advance the Sustainable Development Goals, one solution at a time.

About Reboot the Earth

What

Reboot the Earth brings together students, developers, researchers and innovators to build AI-powered, open source solutions for sustainable agriculture.

Who

High school and university students, as well as developers, researchers and innovators are welcome to apply. Participants come from diverse backgrounds, but they are united in their wish to use technology to advance sustainability.

When

The competition will take place over four days in the fall semester.

Reboot the Earth is held at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar in Education City.
