Reboot the Earth

Reboot the Earth is a worldwide initiative to find technological solutions that address the climate crisis. In Qatar, participants come to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar for a social coding hackathon to innovate around the theme, Agriculture and AI.

Reboot the Earth is led by the United Nations Office of Information and Communications Technology and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and hosted by CMU-Q. The competition was organized by the Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Computer Science Education, which is a collaboration between CMU-Q and the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation.

About Reboot the Earth

Who

High school and university students, as well as developers, researchers and innovators are welcome to apply. Participants come from diverse backgrounds, but they are united in their wish to use technology to advance sustainability.

Reboot the Earth brings together students, developers, researchers and innovators to build AI-powered, open source solutions for sustainable agriculture.
