SAT or ACT Testing

For Fall 2027 applications, the requirement to submit SAT or ACT results depends on two factors: your first choice of major and your secondary school curriculum.  

Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science  

The SAT or ACT is required for all applicants.  

Biological Sciences, Business Administration, or Information Systems

For these majors, Carnegie Mellon Qatar is “test flexible,” which means that the SAT or ACT is required unless you can provide one of the following:

  • Predicted results from the International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, or British Curriculum. British curriculum students should have at least 4 predicted AS results or 3 predicted A level results.
  • AP exam results already achieved through the College Board, with a minimum of 3 AP exam results.
