Technology career fair draws 25 employers

CMU-Q hosted its first technology-focused career fair last week. The event, Careers Platform: The Technology Edition, was a venue for potential employers and students in computer science and information systems to meet and network.

Twenty-five employers participated, and they ranged from large corporations to a tech startup founded by CMU-Q alumni. Students networked with the employers, learned about the types of jobs and internships available and shared their personal expertise.

“Hiring for jobs and internships in the high tech sector is a little different, and we wanted employers to have a chance to focus on our students with expertise in computer science and information systems,” said Selma Limam Mansar, associate dean for education.

CMU-Q’s Career Development Office regularly holds information sessions to bring students and potential employers together.
