CMU-Q wins Al Ruwad Case Competition for second year in a row

A team from CMU-Q was declared the champion of the Al Ruwad Regional Case Competition this weekend at the College of the North Atlantic Qatar (CNA-Q). Eleven teams from Qatar and the region battled for the title, with CMU-Q juniors Yousuf Akhlaq, Sampriti Jain, Nawal Mir and Osama Qureshi ultimately prevailing.

The Al Ruwad competition followed a "round robin" format. Teams solved one case on Friday and two on Saturday, with each case representing different business disciplines and sectors: relaunching Google Glass, retaining skilled personnel in a Pakistani security firm, and marketing Medina Centrale at the Pearl.

By the end of the third round Saturday night, Tartan Consulting was on top of the leader board. On Sunday morning, the four top battled for the prize with a case about international employee mobility and leadership at Ooredoo, with CMU-Q prevailing.
