Alice Programming Competition

The Alice Programming Competition brings together middle and high school students across Qatar who are learning to program using the Alice Middle East software. Developed at Carnegie Mellon and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Alice Middle East introduces computational thinking to thousands of students annually. Participants tackle real-world challenges such as sustainability, food security, inclusive education, cultural heritage, and renewable energy by creating engaging, interactive stories and games.

The Alice Programming Competition is hosted by CMU-Q in partnership with the Hamad Bin Jassim Center for Computer Science Education.

The 2027 competition will take place during the spring semester. Check back for details.
