Living in Education City

Education City is a campus of more than 12 square kilometers that hosts branch campuses of some of the world’s leading educational institutes, a homegrown university, and other research, scholastic, and community centers.

With state-of-the-art facilities to live, study and unwind, students in Education City form a close-knit group of people from around the world.

Education City Housing

Students from across Education City live in state-of-the-art women and men’s dormitories that are managed by Qatar Foundation and are designed for comfort, focus, community and sustainability.

Exploring Education City

Multaqa is a busy hub of student life, with places to have a coffee, a snack or a meal. There is also a small grocery store, a games room, a bowling alley, and multipurpose sports facilities, and much more.
Qatar National Library is a community space for Qatar’s residents, and a place to study, explore, learn and reflect.
The Education City Mosque is a quick walk, scooter or tram ride from anywhere in Education City. The mosque has the capacity for 1,800 worshippers and another 1,000 in the exterior courtyard.
There are e-scooters all around Education City, accessible via a mobile application.
A green space in the heart of Education City, Oxygen Park features sports fields, picnic areas and paths for walking and biking.
On Saturdays during the cool months, Torba Market features local food producers and artisans.
The Education City Tram connects you to places all around Education City, completely free of charge. CMU-Q is just steps away from the 2015 and Multaqa tram stations.
The striking Education City Stadium is home to football matches and community events, including women’s sports evenings and Eid prayers.
Al Shaqab is a premier equestrian center that breeds Arabian horses, provides training, and hosts international equestrian events.
The Education City Golf Course features an 18-hole championship course, a 9-hole par 3 course, a 6-hole championship course, and several padel courts.
To venture outside of Education City, students take Doha Metro from the Qatar National Library station. Doha Metro is fast, clean, safe and reliable, and it can take you nearly anywhere you want to go in the city.
