CMU-Q and Mada Center agree to strategic partnership

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) and Mada Center formalized a strategic partnership to cooperate through scientific research and strategic studies in the areas of digital accessibility. The agreement also includes internship opportunities at Mada Center for Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar students.

Maha M. Al-Mansouri, CEO of Mada Center, and Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, formalized the agreement at a ceremony during QITCOM 2019.

Mada offers targeted services to its strategic partners to enable the education, culture and community sectors through ICT to achieve an inclusive community and educational system. The services include building partners’ capabilities and supporting the development and accreditation of digital platforms in accordance with international standards of digital access. Mada raises awareness, provides consulting services and increases the number of assistive technology solutions in Arabic through the Mada Innovation Program to enable equal opportunities for people with disabilities and the elderly in the digital community.

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar delivers select programs that contribute to the long-term development of Qatar. Approximately 400 students from 48 countries study at CMU-Q in the areas of biological sciences, business administration, computational biology, computer science, and information systems.
