Maha Kanso has served as the research compliance coordinator in the CMU-Q Research Office since 2012. She is responsible for managing the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and protocol reviews, providing IRB training to faculty and researchers, and for helping ensure IRB compliance with applicable CMU, U.S. and Qatar rules and regulations. Additionally, she assists with pre- and post-award activities related to grant personnel, and monitors sub-awards and contracts. She is a member of Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research, the National Council of University Research Administrators, and Society of Research Administrators International.
