CMU-Q announces scholars for Class of 2018

CMU-Q recently announced the Campus Scholars and the Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars for the Class of 2018.

Aisha Kazi, Syed Hammad Mahmood, Aisha Mohamed and Karen Youssef were chosen as Qatar Campus Scholars from a senior class of nearly 100 students. The Campus Scholars are selected for embodying high standards of academic excellence, as well as multi-dimensional characteristics such as volunteerism, involvement in student organizations, or participation in sports or the arts. They have also been strong leaders within the community.

The Andrew Carnegie Society Scholar is an annual award that has been traditionally given to one senior from the Qatar campus. This year, the society extended two awards to the Qatar campus to account for the growing number of graduating seniors.

Chosen from the Campus Scholars, the Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars for the Class of 2018 are Aisha Kazi from the Business Administration Program, and Aisha Mohamed from the Computer Science Program. Kazi and Mohamed will be honored at a ceremony in Pittsburgh in 2018.
