The Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) has selected projects from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar to showcase at this year’s World Innovation Summit for Education.
The QNRF display will feature funded projects that have made significant societal, academic and policy contributions. The projects from CMU-Q are:
Advancing Arabic language learning in Qatar, Zeinab Ibrahim, teaching professor of Arabic Improving reading skills in the middle school science classroom, Dudley Reynolds, teaching professor of English Alice in the Middle East, Saquib Razak, assistant teaching professor of computer science
Also representing CMU-Q is information systems student Eman Al Kuwari and business administration graduate Hassan Salatt who were selected from over one thousand candidates to join the WISE 2015/16 Learner’s Voice cohort. The group of 33 young education advocates will come together for the first time at the summit to design grass-roots projects that address critical education challenges.
WISE is the World Innovation Summit for Education, an initiative by Qatar Foundation to promote innovation in education.
