128 students recognized on Dean’s List at CMU-Q

Top ranking achievers announced from Spring 2014

DOHA, QATAR – 128 students demonstrating academic excellence have been recognized on the spring 2014 Dean’s List at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.

“I congratulate students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List for their exemplary performance. These students have distinguished themselves through their academic excellence and strong work ethic. We are proud of them and look forward to seeing their continual development,” said Ilker Baybars, dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.

There were 30 seniors, 42 juniors, 24 sophomores and 32 freshmen who made the list. Students were recognized across Carnegie Mellon Qatar’s majors in biological sciences, business administration, computer science and information systems.

Senior business administration students given this recognition are: Adan Adonis, Abaan Ahmad, Mohammed Al Thani, Aysha Al-Abdulla, Reem Al-Emadi, Haya Al-Kubaisi, Saleh Al-Raisi, Sara Al-Remaihi, Sara Al-Sulaiti, Aisha Al-Thani, Khalid Allouba, Lulwa El-Matbouly, Fawwaz Farid, Syed Saiful Mujahid, Zeina Murtada, Hamza Nagree, Ziad Nassar, Rama Sbei, Reham Shaikh and Aveed Sheikh. Senior information systems students: Stephanie Abi Gerges, Ammar Abouelghar, Haris Aghadi, Umair Ahmed, Srinjoy Chakravarty, Afrah Hassan, Talal Shoeb and Haya Thowfeek. Senior students Rula Al-Baghdadi and Fatima Al-Saygh made the list for biological sciences.

Junior business administration students are: Abdulrahman Abdulla, Danah Abdulla, Amira Abu-Saba, Noor-Ul-Huda Admaney, Reem Al-Hail, Tarek Al-Hariri, Lana Al-Kahala, Sara Al-Khalifa, Almaha Al-Kubaisi, Bashayer Al-Malki, Amna Al-Marzouqi, Noora, Al-Nassr, Amna Al-Noaimi, Latifa Al-Rumaihi, Salma Al-Sulaiti, Mohamed-El Amin Benkermi, Nabil Chodhury, Sana Fathima, Vanessa Fernandes, Devika Hastak, Tanzeel Huda, Hassaan Ijaz, Aniish Sridhar and Akhmed Sungurov. Sophomore business administration students are: Mustafa Abualsuod, Alanood Al-Asiry, Shaikha Al-Kuwari, Hamad Al-Noaimi, Haya Al-Thani, Sana Britto, Mouza Darwish, Mary Valerie Garcia, Narjis Premjee, Reem Saad and Marwa Zouzou. Sophmore information systems students are: Amal Al-Dahneem, Maryam Al-Haddad, Dana Al-Muftah, Aisha Al-Sabah, Shaika Al-Thani and Mohamed Zehni Khairullah. Sophmore computer science students are: Dilsher Ahmed and Syed Peer. Aya Abd Elaal, Maryam Aghadi, Noora Al-Muftah, Mohammed El Allam and Aya Gaballa made the list for biological sciences.

Freshman business administration students are: Razan Abunaba, Fazail Ahmad, Muhammad Yousuf Akhlaq, Fatima Al-Emadi, Amna Al Hajri, Noor Al Mana, Fiona Anthony, Faran Farooq, Zanib Khalid, Sherif Rizk, Awais Shamim and Sabal Subedi.
