In 2008, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar officially accepted its first students into the Information Systems Program. Based on the internationally recognized degree program from Carnegie Mellon’s Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the program trains students to use the tools of technology to solve real-world problems.
The Information Systems Program is unique in Qatar, offering the rare combination of high standards of academic rigor and the intellectual freedom to work outside of traditional disciplinary boundaries. Alumni from the program work in Qatar and all over the world as entrepreneurs, designers, analysts and consultants.
