As part of virtual micro courses that will be taking place throughout the semester, Carnegie Mellon faculty will be giving virtual lectures open to the CMU-Q community. Peter Boatwright, Professor, Marketing, at Carnegie Mellon University will be speaking on, “Selected Pricing Topics.”
In this session, Peter Boatwright will present pricing topics that he has found to continue to hold his interest through the multiple years that he has taught classes on pricing. How do we reconcile economics classes where the market determines pricing (supply/demand) with marketing classes where we act as if a manager sets prices? How does a product’s contribution margin change a firm’s incentives with respect to competitive pricing?
