Gloria Aoun Khoury
Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
Gloria Aoun Khoury joined CMU-Q in 2004 with over twenty years' experience in education and administration, including work in the Middle East. Specializing in the design and development of learner-centered educational systems with multicultural student populations, she has held posts as dean of students, educational systems design consultant, as well as associate director of university development. The focus of her work at Carnegie Mellon Qatar has been the adaptation of co-curricular experiences to the cultural conditions and student mores in the Qatar setting.
Khoury was educated in Europe, the Middle East and the US, receiving degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, the American University of Beirut, as well as from Columbia University where she completed graduate studies in International Educational Development with a research focus on educational transfer and the circulation of knowledge in diverse social and cultural systems.
