Qatar Academy Mini-Entrepreneurship Program
From StudentOrganization
A group of Carnegie Mellon Qatar students started a Mini-Entrepreneurship Program at Qatar Academy, teaching foundational entrepreneurship classes to fourth grade Qatar Academy students. This program began during the Fall of 2007 but only lasted a month. It was restarted during Fall 2008 and continued for a semester. The long term goal of the Program was to provide an outreach of education to our community by tutoring young students basic business principles similar to what we learn at Carnegie Mellon Qatar. It became a huge success as the Qatar Academy children enjoyed it very much. Qatar Academy Mini-Entrepreneurship Program is planned to be held every Fall Term.

Our Projects
FALL 2008
A visit to Carnegie Mellon Qatar to sell lemonade was their first real-life project. Three groups were formed that had to differentiate their lemonade stand from the other groups. Their main aim was to maximize their revenues by selling as many lemonades they could in 1 hour. The aim of this project was to show the kids how entrepreneurs think and what they need to know before starting their own business.
