Webspace
- Every student organization is entitled to its own page within this Student Organization Wiki. Contact the Director of Student Activities or your Student Activities Advisor to obtain administrative rights to edit your organization's page.
[edit]
Online Calendars
- To list an event or announcement on the Student Activities website, you can either
- send information to Student Activities before 12:00pm on Sundays or
- add the announcement yourself by going to the Student Activities page and clicking on the "Don't Keep Quiet: Share your announcements with us" graphic on the bottom left.
- Add your event to the on-line, open-access CMU-Q events calendar.
[edit]
Email Distribution Lists
- To send bulk e-mails you may use public access dlists: cmuq-classyears@qatar and cmuq-info@qatar (Note: you may NOT use cmuq-official@qatar, and cmuq-all@qatar no longer exists). Keep in mind, personal promotion and word-of-mouth advertising is most effective. Use the public access d-Lists sparingly.
- To create a d-List for your organization, go to this website, click on "Create a new list" and follow instructions

Posters & Flyers
- All posters must have the new Carnegie Mellon in Qatar logo.
- Do not place posters on glass, doors, fences, entry posts, gates, poles, or sidewalks. Do not use glue. Do not poster over other posters.
- You may place posters in the residence halls, with the approval of the residence hall director.
- All posters should clearly denote the official student organization’s name and contact information
- “Restricted” bulletin boards are limited to the use of designated departments or organizations. Use of these bulletin boards must be approved by the official representative of the respective department or organization. If you are unsure if a certain board is restricted or not, it never hurts to ask.

Digital Signage
- In an effort to make signage easier (as well as decrease the amount of waste, digital signage exists all over the building. To have artwork approved and posted on the screens you MUST:
- size it to 1280 pixels wide x 650 pixels high
- save it as a .JPG, .PNG or .GIF
- keep the file size below 250k
- A few tips: use at least 36 pt. font; limit the text; use art; leave margins on all four sides; remember to use the proper logo.
- You can now submit your artwork in an online system: https://www.qatar.cmu.edu/media/ds/.
