• Royal Qatar Hotel

  This quaint midrange hotel opened in January 2007. It is located in the oldest and most picturesque part of Doha, a short walk from the souqs (traditional markets), to the Corniche, and to Assaha, where the conference dinner will be held.

• Mövenpick Tower & Suites - Doha

  An impressive new landmark in Doha, this 26 storey tower is located at the entrance to West Bay. It is a short stroll from the Corniche, Doha's beautiful walkway along the Arabian Gulf, and to West Bay ultra-modern high-rise district.

Attendees preferring other options are welcome to make their own reservation. Below are a few hotels that we have visited. Feel free to contact any of these hotels directly. We are unable to make the reservation for attendees at these hotels.

• Four Seasons Hotel - Doha Across the street from the Mövenpick, this beachfront 5-star hotel has just out of "standard" rooms leaving only the more expensive "premier" rooms. Reserve online or call +974-494-8888.


• Ritz Carlton Doha The same luscious fare as the Four Seasons or the Movenpick but some 10 minutes further out. Reserve online or call +974-484-8000.


• Sheraton Doha Just next door to the Four Seasons, this was the first 5-star hotel in Doha. Reserve online or call +974-485-4444.


• Al Bustan Hotel A pleasant hotel near the airport. Good quality price ratio. Reserve online or call +974-432-8888.


• Al Muntazah Hotel A nice clean hotel on the edge of the souqs, two blocks from the Royal Qatar Hotel. Reserve online or call +974-436-3363.


• Al Mourouj Inn Hotel An hotel ideally located at Museum Street behind National Museum of Qatar, close to the corniche and the souqs. Call +974-442-2426 to reserve.


• Bismillah Hotel A charming little hotel right in the middle of the newly recreated traditional souq. It has only 6 rooms and is so new that it does not have a web page yet. Call +974-581-5867 to reserve.


• Shezan: An inexpensive option, this Indian-run hotel is on a busy street 15 minutes from LPAR'08. The rooms are clean, but a bit run down and many are painted in shocking colors. Call +974-486-5225 to reserve.
