Carnegie Mellon in Qatar Building, Education City
Designed as a networking event for English language teachers at the secondary and post-secondary levels in Qatar, Excellence in Teaching English for Qatar 2009 seeks to encourage the sharing of information about pedagogical goals and practices for English language teaching at different levels in the Qatari educational system. In a rapidly expanding educational system like Qatar's, it is very easy for individual institutions to develop their curricula without consideration for students' previous or future studies. ETE-Q 2009 will offer participants the chance to learn about what is happening in other institutions and to exchange ideas about what should be happening. The conference will feature panel presentations by invited representatives from institutions at the secondary, pre-university, and university levels as well as poster presentations on ideas that work at each level.
Registation is open to anyone interested in English language teaching. register
