ETE-Q 2010: Learning Through English will again serve as a networking opportunity for teachers at the secondary, pre-university, and university levels in Qatar. The event will be valuable for any instructor who uses, or would like to use, the English language as an integral part of the classroom. Instructors in the fields of math, science, history, physics, chemistry, etc. may find the workshops helpful in learning new ways to teach their subject material in English to both native and non-native English speakers. Instructors with expertise in these areas are invited to create poster presentations on ideas that work for them in the classroom.
The format will consist of an opening plenary speech followed by a poster session and six professional development workshops, and then conclude with a luncheon. To sign up for a specific workshop, click on the Workshop link on this page. There is no registration fee.
Thank you for your interest in ETE-Q 2010. Due to the high level of interest in this year’s conference, registration is now closed. Please check back to this website for details about presentations made at this year’s conference and about plans for future events for English language professionals in Qatar.
