Faculty Positions

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar invites applications for teaching-track positions at all levels in the field of Computer Science. These are career-oriented renewable appointments that involve teaching international undergraduate students as well as maintaining a significant research program. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, substantial exposure to Western-style education, outstanding teaching record, and excellent research accomplishments or potential.

Specifically, we are seeking candidates with expertise in cloud computing, Arabic language processing, human-computer interaction, databases, web technology, and algorithms. Truly exceptional candidates in other areas will also be considered.

Evaluation Process

Candidates will undergo a rigorous evaluation process which will take place both in Doha and in Pittsburgh. Steps include: Appointees who have never studied or taught at Carnegie Mellon may be required to spend a semester in Pittsburgh to familiarize themselves with Carnegie Mellon's standards, policies and practices
