These tiny cafes are located all over the city and sell a variety of juices and sandwiches for very little money.

Juice cocktails are sold in nearly every restaurant and are a slushy blend of different fruits. The Dhow Restaurants, Al Bustan Restaurant (on Museum street, turn right at the Rosewater bottles round about), and Shebastan Restaurant (on Al Sadd Street) sell a layered juice cocktail where you can pick your flavor by how far down you put the straw.

There is a great juice place near to Education City - leaving campus, make a left at the "sloped roundabout" and a right at the next roundabout; from there, make a u-turn at the light. In the complex with the "windmill bakery," you will find a small juice place. Their juices (QR6) are best WITHOUT sugar and milk - be sure to specify that when ordering; favorites: strawberry, banana, and orange, or strawberry, banana, and mango. It doesn't look like much, but the juices are fabulous. Most people order from their cars instead of going inside. The proprieters are very friendly but don't speak much English; they will learn your favorites, though, after only a few visits!
