You can have your first class mail forwarded to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh and it will be sent by DHL on a regular schedule. Mail goes from here to CMU-Pittsburgh on Sundays, again by DHL, and then is dropped in the mail in Pittsburgh. You can bring US postal stamps with you, or order them on the US postal service website and have them sent to the forwarding address.

There are two serious difficulties in having first-class mail forwarded to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. First, the automated USPS system allows for only three lines of address; it will include "Qatar Office SMC 1070" or "5032 Forbes Avenue" but not both. (The first and third lines, of course, will reference your name and "Pittsburgh, PA 15289".) As a result, it is likely that some mail will not reach you. The second major disadvantage is the difficulty of later restoring mail delivery to your home once you leave Qatar. The automated USPS system flags the 15289 zip code as belonging to a business; the system is not allowed to forward mail from a business to a residence.
