Al Shaqab stables, in Education City, offers horseback riding lessons. Private lessons cost QR 125; semi-private lessons (two people) cost QR 100; group lessons (six people) cost QR 75. All lessons are 45 minutes. For more information, call 481-2061.

Horse races are run in winter. They are run Wednesdays about 2 pm at the Equestrian Center. Attendance is free. From the Sudan roundabout go west, turn right at fourth roundabout and left at second roundabout.
