Qatar is a Muslim country so it observes all of the Muslim holidays, notably Ramadan and the Eids. You will be given a lot of information about Ramadan by Human Resources. In 2005, Ramadan will be approximately October 4 to November 2.

Due to the large expatriate population living in Doha, there are a lot of items available for the western holidays, including Halloween candy, turkeys and all the fixings for Thanksgiving, Christmas foods and decorations, and even Valentines and Easter goodies.
