Carrefour

A good selection of mostly European and local foodstuffs, and almost everything else. A French equivalent to Wal-Mart. Reasonable prices, though not the cheapest in town--and not as cheap as Carrefour in the UAE. Sometimes items are out of stock.

Good for assemble-it-yourself furniture. Not a wide selection, but good prices for the quality. Good prices too on household electronics, cell phones, computers, and accessories.

Carrefour is in the City Centre; but a large new Carrefour is under contruction at Landmark Mall, set to open fall 2007. The new Carrefour at Villagio is now open. Hours Saturday through Thursday are 8am to 12 midnight. Friday hours are 8am to 11:30am and 12:30pm to 12 midnight.
