Wednesday night is Ladies' Night at Paloma. Free glass of champagne for ladies.

At the Diplomatic Club Marquee, there is an ongoing series of "International Club Nights", in which famous DJ's are brought in. You can find more information about it, including dates at their website
Garveys (European Family Club) - located between Salwa Rd and Al Waab St (not too far from the Aspire Olympic Torch Tower). Non-member men pay QR 20 at the door (bring ID), women free, entrance closes at 10 p.m. Serves very reasonably priced drinks and beer, plus great cheap pub food (food service stops at 9 pm). Quite a British, pub atmosphere here -- very working class, lots of regulars. They have TV screens they show sporting events on, a couple of dart bords, a huge outdoor area for extended seating, plus an outdoor pool and a gym (you can actually join Garveys like you would a hotel health club). They usually have live music on weekends, and are available for private bookings. Loads of private taxis outside in case you've had one too many...parking can get crowded on weekends late. NOTE: Garvey's was closed at the beginning of January 2009 and no news of reopening has been mentioned.
Irish Harp (bar inside Doha Sheraton, lower level) - a more upscale pub atmosphere, drinks/food are hotel-priced (single mixed drink will run you just over QR 50), limited food menu. Waiters are all uniformed and everything is a little more sophisticated here. Beautiful interior, live music on weekends, can get rather smoky and crowded, but attracts a more hip crowd than Garveys does.
DRFC (Doha Rugby Football Center, aka "The Rugby Club") - located between Doha College and ASD on D & 1/2 Ring near Decor Roundabout. Must be a member of DRFC or signed in by a member of DRFC (and pay 20QR entry for both men and women). Thursday nights and nights with games are usually open nights, meaning anybody can enter (but fee still applies). See Rugby for more info on the club itself.
