If you're on D ring, there is a roundabout with a water tower on one of the corners. Turn away from downtown. This will put you on Al Waab street. On the downtown side, this is Al Saad street.

The stadium is visible ahead and on the left; it has 4 square towers on the corners of the stadium; these are usually lit when there's a game going on. You'll have to drive past the stadium, pull a u turn at the next roundabout, then come back to get in.
