Students come to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar from all over the world. Because your school background and curricula may be very different from another student’s, we offer general guidelines for how to best prepare for undergraduate admission to Carnegie Mellon in Qatar.

Which Courses You Should Take

The courses listed below represent the MINIMUM requirements that you must complete in order to be considered for admission to Carnegie Mellon’s Qatar campus.

• English 3-4 years
• Mathematics 3-4 years
• Laboratory Science 3-4 years
• Native or Foreign Language 2-3 years
• Social Sciences (History, Government, Economics) 2-3 years
• Electives (Programming is highly recommended for prospective CS and IS majors)  2-3 years
