What is a Teaching Assistant/Peer Tutor?
TAs and Peer Tutors are students who work with faculty and the ARC to support student learning at CMU-Q.
Teaching Assistants help faculty members with specific courses. Responsibilities vary, but usually include grading, assisting in class, leading recitations, tutoring, and occasionally proctoring exams.
Peer Tutors tutor freshmen in math, writing, and programming. Their main responsibility is to be available in the ARC at set hours to offer drop-in tutoring.
